Darjeeling
Darjeeling was one of our favorite destinations, but we struggled a bit to get here. Once we get a ticket to run away from Patna the problems did not end there. When we entered the train, there were five people sitting in each one of our beds! so we used our spanish character! how? we started to shout at them that these were our beds and everyone must go out of there ....it worked! they got out but not looking at us like crazy was not included in the deal! even so the train was not empty until the conductor came a few hours later ... well I am not going to tell you about the trip because it was just heat and long hours like always. We arrived at New Jalpaiguri where we are face to face with a general strike! yes yes general strike! so we could not get a train ticket to our next destination, Darjeeling, we had to get a room in the same train station! It was not too bad. We went to see the next town where everything was closed but we managed to do some really cool pictures in a few shacks. The next day we got up at 5 and 6 in the morning we were in our way to Darjeeling in a Jeep, we arrived about 4 hours later to the center of which it has been our favorite city of India, Darjeeling.
This city had a very very pleasantly surprised, it's a lot cleaner than most of the cities in India where we have been, it is much more pure, less overwhelming and more beautiful. The first day we tried to buy a flight tickets that it will take us back to Delhi on the 12th and after several attempts we got it. The other goal was to get a trekking and even though we were not going to be many days in the area we managed to get a two days trek to climb the Tomblu of 3070 meters above sea level, which if the weather left us we would see the entire range the Himalayas, we were so excited to have booked this trekking that we had a veggie burger for dinner which turned out to be very very spicy .... we could not ask for everything!. The next day we left early to our little adventure, which Ellie, very nice Australian girl that is staying in the same guest house as us came with us. The trek started great! with a tremendous hopes of seeing the Himalayas, our desire continued but after a little we realize we were going to have bad luck because the entire trek of 11 km to reach the last refuge where we slept was a dense fog not lefting us the entire trip enjoyed the views. In the end of the day we were being rewarded when the sky opened a little and letting us see the sunset. The dinner was great, we saw the stars and the four of us went to bed in a cozy room in the refuge. The following morning we hoped to get up to a more open sky to be able to see all the mountains, we did not have so much luck and we saw only Kanchenjunga 8,600 m, but it was worth it, then we came back to the refuge for breakfast and to continue o climb to Tonglu for one hour and start the descent, raining all the time. Now we are enjoying this beautiful city and tomorrow we will try one last time to see the mountains, and I will tell you.

Patna
Hi everyone, I know that its been several days since the last post but we have been away from a computer since the last day in Varanasi. So once again this post is going to be a little longer than even the previous hehehehehe ... well I will do it in several posts. Let's start with the departure of Varanasi, a day after the last post, we woke up early to finish seeing the rest of Varanasi, but again as usual we did not see anything more than the surrounding streets why? because when we get together we baited each other taking pictures, so we do not move more than a few yards .... after getting crazy to Lalit and Babu, our guides in the city, we returned to the hotel to pick up the backpacks and go to the train station, this time we were very late and suddenly super Babu, once again, surprised us finding a tuktuk in the midst of chaos in the streets of Varanasi, so we got to the station. We arrived in Patna where we find that it is a city where tourists are not accepted in the hotels! it was crazy to get a place to sleep, something for dinner and a train ticket to our next destination because even though this was a main center of communications of several Buddhist villaces! Even so we are encouraged to get a car to drive us seven hours to see a Buddhist temple ... not bad but to much driving for that.

Varanasi 2
Here we are to continue with Varanasi and I'll tell you what we did today. After going to bed very late, talking .... we had to wake up at 5 in the morning to take a boat to see the sunrise from the river, the ghats and the crematoriy. We enjoyed the ride on the boat while the driven was telling storys of several buildings, palaces etc, while we enjoyed an amazing sunrise, I must say that we were lucky because the sky was clear and we could see perfectly. We enjoyed a quiet stroll, we put lotus flowers in the river, once again, making a wish while you think of the three gods, Shiva, Rama and Hanuka (I dont know if its right written), and you have to leave the flower slowly in the river, is nice and relaxed. Then we went to the crematory once again but this time we have gone up and we have explained all the prosses, we saw a corpse being cremated, and it has been very intense and shocking but it was worth seeing, and as they say thanks to the woods with they are burning the corpses there is not smell of anything, and it is true there is no smell. After we returned to the hostel and we have recovered our sleep, tomorrow we will finish seeing Varanasi and we will take the train to Patna.

Varanasi
Yesterday at noon we arrived in Varanasi, after a 12 hours train plus 2 hour delay waiting at the stopped train at least we got to our destination. If you are wondering how was the train, there are two different opinions, Bea was more or less ok and she was able to sleep, and me... ufff it was one of my worst trips ... I woke up at 3 of the morning and I couldnt go back to sleep anymore. Once we were at the station and after realizing that tourists in here are very edges and wont talk to anyone including us, we bought our train tickets to our next destination Patna, or which is the the Mecca of Buddhism, but all of that we'll tell you once we get there. After our, increasingly easier, time to buy train tickets we took a tuktuk to the hotel we had chosen, named Alka. We got a room, a good room, and after having dinner because we hadnt eaten since the previous dinner at 8 pm, we took a small boat to the river went to a Ghat where it was a ceremony performing. It was really cool but it took us a bit to adapt to the idea that we were sailing in the most polluted river in the world, we could enjoy this amazing show and then it came the best, we were taken, also by boat, to the crematory, awesome! we were there we saw several bodies covered with sheets to get wet, or clean, in the waters of the sacred river before incinerizacion, the same water everyone is having baths everyday. It was really intense, an experience hard to forget but that I wouldnt have missed. Then one of the little guies of the boat, Lalit 14 years old, took us to a Hare Krishna festival where we could enjoy some of the prayers, a sort of ritual where several childrens received some gifts. While we were there the Monzon made his appearance and it started to rain, and knowing that the infrastructure in India are not the best, it began to flood the tents where the festival was holded.Well we left there safe and sound although a bit wet. There we met with the French guys who had shared the boat with us that afternoon and we shared a tuktuk back to the hotel, yes, the five tourists and two little turist guies in the tuktuk ... and when you see the photos of a tuktuk you will see the madness that it was. The following morning, today, we woke up at 9, we went to have some breakfast and at the hotel door we found the little guide with which we had to meeat in one hour, so we took him with us and invited him a breakfast. After not enjoying too much a no so much tasty breakfast, you'll get very spicy food or totally tasteless food, we went to see someone that supposed to be a Baba so he could tell us the future... ufff we runned away from there as soon as we could, then we went to see the Golden Temple where we have to get frisked twice, because apparently they tried to bomb several times this place and one time some terrorists had managed to steal several kilos of gold, experience that it was a little tourist, do that and pray now pay, but hey not bad. Then we went to the temple of Nepal, 2000 years old, that was cool we were by ourselves. After that we went to the uncle of the our little guie shop, yes we let him took us there! There we bought some pants and scarfs, but the truth being told it took us a bit decide, after we went to eat! if it may seem that we eat too often we ate our breakfast at 10 and we ate our lunch at 17, we went with Lalit and his brother in a pure Indian restaurant where the food was good, not too spicy. After we returned to the hotel because we were tired and wanted to rest so we could see the yesterday,s show but from a different perspective. We dont know if we will go at the end jejejeje.
Tomorrow its time to wake up very early at 5:15 to catch a boat that will take us down the river where we will see all the Ghats and then climb to the crematory where they will explain to us the procedure of the ritual. We will tell you everything!
